Do you want to qualify for state?
Do You want to medal at your region meet?
Do you simply want to run a PR next season?

Off season training leads to in season PR's
Ask any top level  runner how they became successful and they will almost always tell you good coaching and off season training are the keys to their achievements. With my dynamic off season training program you will have the base and strength to run your fastest times this upcoming track season.

Who is Coach Simon?
Shawn Simon was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona giving him a unique perspective on training here in the valley. He did his first 10k when he was 8 years old and has been active in distance running ever since. Along the way he has trained under and with some of the best coaches in Arizona. He graduated from Trevor Browne High School where he ran for Arizona Hall of Fame coaches David Cruikshank and Joe Ehlers. Coach Simon ran at Northern Arizona University where he absorbed as much as he could from coach Ron Mann (US middle distance coach for the 2008 Olympics). From there his journey took him to Mountain Ridge High School where he teamed with Scott Pestka to make the Mountain Lions one of the best distance programs in the state. He has taken different philosophies and workouts from each of the coaches he has worked with and molded them into his own unique coaching style.

Building a PR/program
PR's don't happen over night. They are planned, sketched, and molded over many weeks and sometimes months. Off season training is the number one factor in being successful in distance running. While at Mountain Ridge, in the late 90's, we started training early in the summer for the fall cross country season and early in December for the spring track season. The results were awesome. Over a five year period we won a girls cross country state title (1999), two boys state runner-up trophies, and 10 region titles. In track, our athletes won 2 individual state titles, a boys 4x800 relay state title, numerous medal at state, and countless region titles in the distance events. It wasn't uncommon for our team to have four athletes in the final of any distance event at the state meet. In addition to our high school success we have put eight athletes into NCAA division 1 schools, two of which are now coaching at the collegiate level. Was it the off season training that led to our success? You bet it was!

Is the cost Reasonable?
You bet it is a reasonable rate. You get an experienced coach to motivate you and guide you through a challenging training program designed to get you in shape for your upcoming season for only $80 a month. This may seem a little much, but consider the options. You can get an online coach for $125-$250 per month, or you can try to work with a high school coach, but let's face it, most high school coaches don't want to see their athletes in the off season because they want a break and they aren't getting paid for it. You also have to ask yourself, "Is the coach I have now taking me where I want to go?" If the answer is no then you have to put yourself in the best position to succeed with a coach who knows what it takes to achieve the goals you have set for yourself.

When does it start?
Sign up now for the next training program that will start the first week of December. The actual date and time will be finalized in the next couple of weeks.
