Murals may not be your thing. That's okay! There are other options to give your bedroom some pizzazz. The examples below are just a few things we've done in the past to spice up a room.
Fashion Designer!!!
OH MY GOD!! What girl doesn't want to be a fashion designer. I was able to design everything in this room down to the flooring. We went with a bamboo laminate for flooring because it has a nice finish and is extremely durable. Then we covered the walls with baby pink and trimmed it with a white and black polka dot wrap. We accessorized with some cute fashion mountable pieces (the smaller ones were actually designed by the little girl in this room.) and some adorable bedding and curtains found on the cheap. The beds were a steal because they were found at a model home furniture store.

Girls Love Industrial TOO!!
This was probably the most fun of any room I've done. I had free reign and ultimately designed, implimented and completed the entire project. The walls are painted with metallic silver and given a faux sheet metal effect, while the lower half has realistic pink and purple flames. The lockers are actual lockers that have been sanded and given the same treatment the walls were. To complete the effect the chair rail and baseboards were painted with pearlized metallic paints. We added shelving, hooks, and a metal basket from the garage storage department to give these girls plenty of display and storage space. The paintings were done by the girls to give it a personal touch.

Peace !
This is a metallic paint painted onto the wall with a faux metal bevel edge. The effect is complete with a shadow to make it look like it is a piece mounted on the wall.

Music Anyone!!
This is another unique bedroom with the ever popular pink, black, and white color combo. We combined several elements in this room to wrap it around the central theme of music. We painted the chair rails and baseboards metallic silver to help complete the glimmer and glitz.

French Fashion
This little girl wanted to have black pink and white as the main colors in her room and she wanted her bedding to tie into the theme. We came up with a French fashion room with a hearty twist.

This particular room was inspired by a painting. The twelve year old who designed it loves the color scheme and wanted the walls to tie it all together.
Polka Dots Anyone?
This room actually came together very quickly because of the timing. I had a couple of days available and we were able to communicate via e-mail so we could get the design down fairly quickly.
Plaid!
People don't think to add dramatic stipes or plaids to a wall. As you can see, when it is done as an accent wall it looks wonderful. We added polka dots to the opposite wall to add balance to the room. The plaid is a little time consuming because of the measuring and taping, but well worth it in this case.
This is a cute powder room. It is asian inspired and features shimmery gold paint and hand painted bamboo on the walls

The Zebra Room
This was a great job. We did some mountable pieces. We painted some furniture, and somehow we spilled black paint on the ceiling to create a zebra pattern. The mountable pieces each have a unique function. One has a mirror, one has corkboard, and the other has magnetic paint.
