Boy Decorative Painting
You don't always have to have a mural to create a certain feeling in a room. You can create an all male feeling by adding certain colors, shapes,  stripes, or in some cases graffitti. The examples below give you some idea of what I'm talking about.

New!! Graffitti is the bomb right now. Boys and girls love it. Moms generally aren't fans of it (hate it). Moms!! if you want your kids to love you, let them have graffiti in their room.

SUPER HERO EXTRAVAGANZA!
This was such a fun room to do. It is a full wrap with heros and villains. It is perfect for a boys room.

Going Industrial!
This one is pretty slick. I threw down a metallic base, then glazed it with an even shinier metallic silver. Next, I added some rivets and some water stains. The last step was to rust it out with an oxide red and tangerine orange. The final touch was a mountable piece with the same treatment.

NEW!
Soccer is an awesome sport, but it's even cooler to bring the sport indoors with you. This is a pretty cool ceiling no matter how you look at it.

This example below was the mom's idea. She wanted to somehow incorporate the idea of a heartbeat into a basketball theme. The basketball image is actually a mountable piece.

This focal wall belongs to the younger brother of occupant in the room above. He wanted more of a skater/sport theme. After some wild sketches and some give and take with mom we settled on silver tribal flames and his name in graffitti (also a mounted piece).

This is the bathroom that runs between the two rooms above. We decided some geometric shapes with the colors in both rooms would tie them together.

These are some basic mountable murals with a simple black border.

More tribal flames and mountable pieces. The graffitti on this one is actually pretty detailed with the boiling flames and bubbles in the shadow.

This room had an adventurous feel to it. We added a hand painted floor cloth with the colors of the bedspread and it turned out awesome. The mom told me later that her son spent a lot more time in his room.

The room below was for a Red Sox Fan Obviously!
